here's a redone version of soft rain.
some of you have been mentioning how quickly i've been improving. i thought this would be a good way to show that. i've been wanting to redo that piece for a long time anyway. lol.

now go spit on the original version.

...I am finally commenting after staring at this picture for several minutes, taking in all of the details that can be found in your style. Talk about some piercing eyes -- they're such a lovely color, but it's more than just that. Rhys seems to really be looking at the viewer in a way that's really intimate and somehow warm. The way you color/shade noses and mouths is also intensely beautiful, though I suspect you'll be getting more comments about OMG MOUF as more people view this...

I've also come to notice that you have a very unique way of coloring hair. I'd be interested to see a tutorial from you, just because it boggles my mind when I try to piece all of the elements together.

Mhm. You've done this so beautifully that I really have nothing else to point out, because some other rabid fangirl will come along to eat Rhys up and blab about how OMG HAWT he is, etc, with no regards to his feelings. Or yours, for that matter.

That didn't make sense at all, but still - this is pulchritudinous.

I love the contrast of the sharpness of his eyes and the softness of his hair. I also really like those big buttons on the shirt! Really beautiful piece.

The eyes are the biggest change for me (and I noticed you'd changed his piercings) in this version they look so real. I feel like he's looking back out of the screen at me, and it's cool. :heart:
